Yesterday at Easter church service at Hingham UCC, my pastor, Peter Allen reminded us of something important. Angels aren’t just some glowing shimmery vision or idea. They are the people who are right beside us. Holding our hands, seeing us through, here on Earth in the very moment when we need help.

This photo stays in my heart as I run — my 2 little angels here on Earth.

Today I have to absolute honor of running the 2022 Boston Marathon for Caring for A Cure — the nurse founded charity to research cures and give normalcy to patients of Blood and Bone Cancers. These woman have saved my life in many ways. But the biggest thing they did was COMMIT TO THE MOMENT. They looked me in the eye and we decided not to die — together.

Today I run side by side my MGH Caring for A Cure Nurses. Some of these women I run with gave me my life saving marrow, gave me life saving blood, gave me life saving platelets.

Thank you Caring For a Cure Nurses. My Life exists because of you.

All I can say, is God is Good. Here is my mile by mile gratitude to all the angels on the way of this journey back to health. This journey back to life.
