5 Industries That Benefit from Women’s Right To Abortion.
More than “women” benefit from abortion. If these below industries wish to survive, they need to get on the right side of history.
Fraternity Boys from the 80’s and onward: AKA the Greek Industry. They have benefitted from abortion more than most. Not only did frat boys knock up many young women and ask/force them to get abortions, women in Greek situations/parties are often plastered with booze and drugs, and often these man boys ask them to get abortions so they can keep partying their life away.

What’s worse is that now these men now tend to be in the money making positions within culture — finance, real estate, marketing, tech. If they had had babies in college, their lives might be different. Unfortunately many of these daft and selfish men actually voted for Trump in the 2016 and 2020 election to preserve their financial wellbeing. I know this too well because I used to be married to a venture capitalist former frat boy. Frat boys — you have a chance the next two years to do right by the women you’ve used for your benefit. Don’t be a douche, support women’s rights.
Corporate America: You’ve had a ball grinding young college educated women day and night. Be it in finance, advertising, tech, healthcare, no matter the industry, women over the last 4 decades have been asked to work longer hours outside of the home with less connection to our children. Without our right to choose, you lose the right to overwork us and pay us 87 cents on the dollar. Not to mention, you’ve spent years making women feel confusion, shame, and uncertainty about how having a child will affect their career.
After 20 years in advertising, I know the ugly truth about what people say about women when they have kids, and the ugly truth about what they say about women who don’t. Do the right thing CEO’s, CMO’s, and agencies that consult with them — support women’s rights.
Silicon Valley: You’ve “changed the world” building the digital era, and yet you fail to foster cultures that support women. The Brotopia you have built has been possible because our government allows business entities freedom of will to grow and make their own choices. Yet you think your little companies deserve that right, but women don’t?
I can’t imagine the number of women who had to exercise their right to choose because of men in Silicon Valley. Do the right thing and support the women you’ve excluded from your boys club to the future.
Entertainment Industry: You’ve used the female experience to your advantage for your entire existence. From Harvey Weinstein to Matt Lauer — you make a joke of us by treating female actresses poorly behind the scenes, but pretending to love us on screen. We now know you don’t love us, you love the money we make and what women did for you for years. Do the right thing and support women’s rights vocally.
Porn Industry: This is a disgusting one. But if abortion is outlawed, then Porn needs to be next. This is a troubling industry that has grown in the last 50 years and now simply abuses young women via sex traffiking, drugs, and mental abuse. Our current culture oddly makes it seem like its okay.
If porn is legal — abortion needs to be legal. You can’t show young men that sex is trivial and fun and not a big deal. You can’t show them that women are just things to stick their dick in, and give women no way to deal with the fact that — it can result in a human life. Get it together and support the rights of women you manipulate and abuse.
I don’t know if this helps anyone to see bigger connections — but it was imperative for me to write out the large societal entities that benefit greatly from women’s right to choose. It’s not just about life and death. It’s about freedom and ownership of one’s human journey and experience. Women deserve that. If you are a part of these industries, please push for change to better respect, care, and free women who you claim to love. We live in a society together, please trust women to do what they know how to do — have babies on their own terms.
With Love,
